Alfons had made an extraordinary recovery. The coughs never came again and he had found friendship within my brother. They would spend hours together, talking or having fun with a game, no matter how childish.
I was happy that Alphonse and my German friend were all smiles with one another, but I was miserable. I had no one to talk to anymore. My brother and HIM would race around the place and completely forget about me. During these moments I wish I was back home. Many people cared about me and would want to talk, though I would never admit it.
Everyday, I would walk to the park and see best friends, even couples walking by. What was I to think? As I had grown I found myself longing for romance, but I never wanted to meet anyone new. I did not feel comfortable in this world. And even though I was not, I always felt alone.
