BBxRae~ Bubble Bath


After a long, hard week, Raven usually liked to relax…this time it was with a bubble bath.  She had researched aroma therapy for awhile and while shopping in one of those 'creepy' stores she shops at, she had found some special bath soap and decided to buy it.  Raven was very happy she had, for it was the perfect way to wind down after a long-

A knock jarred her from her peaceful thoughts.

"Hey, Rae! Can I get in?" Beastboy's voice boomed.

"No."

"But I really need to-"

"No, can't you go somewhere else?"

"Can't move," he said rushed.

"Change into something small and go."

"Can't," he strained.

"Hah…Fine, but you own me."

Raven pulls back the curtain as he enters and goes to the bathroom.  When he starts to wash his hands, Raven opens the curtain slightly; feeling too overwhelmed by the fumes of the soap and closes her eyes.

Beastboy turns around, finished; to see his friend is in a tub full of bubbles.

"Didn't take you for a bubble bather," he jokes.

Raven opens one of her eyes, "Didn't take you as someone who has a big enough bladder for that much pee."

He blushes a little, "Yeah, thanks for letting me go."

The changeling leaves Raven to her bath.

The next morning, Raven walks into the main room to hear everyone talking animatedly about something.  Normally, she would not get involved, but when she saw Beastboy not joining in and looking slightly bashful, she had to know what was going on.

As she nears in and listens, Raven found out the conversation was about Valentine's Day.  Robin and Starfire were obviously going to spend it together and it sounded like Cyborg had some hot date, leaving Beastboy completely alienated from the discussion.

Said boy looks up and catches Raven's eye.  He blushes and glances anywhere but her the rest of the time she remained in the room.

When Valentine's Day arrived, Raven decided to stay in her room and enjoy some quiet for the day.  Unfortunately, she was interrupted by someone at her door.  She got up and answered it.

It was Beastboy.

"What?" she asked.

"Got you this," he said, bringing a package around from his back.

   Raven took it.  It was medium-sized and wrapped in a dark red paper…Valentine's wrapping paper.  She looked up, skeptically, but he just gestured her to go ahead and open it, which she did.

Surprise graced her face when she saw what it was.  It was bubble bath soap.

"How…"she said baffled, "I was going to buy this after the prices went down after the holiday…Why?"

"I did a little 'research' and got you it.  I thought, since everyone else has a date, that you might be a little lonely.  I wanted to make you happy."

"…Thank you," she said, not knowing what else to say.

Beastboy then smiled at his job well-done and left.

Raven closed the door and looked at her present again.  Sure, she had gotten a few other gifts in her life- for her birthday and Christmas- but she had never gotten a gift like this.  It was almost a romantic gift…was it?  Beastboy had never said it was not.  Raven gave a little grin at that thought.

That night, Raven used the bubble bath soap that Beastboy had gotten her.  As soon as she got settled in with a book, there was a knock on the door.

"You can come in, Beastboy," she sighed with annoyance.

Raven lifted her book in front of her face to give him privacy but did not close the curtains; there were plenty of bubbles to remain hidden.  After Beastboy concluded his mission he pivoted around and stopped dead in his tracks at the sight before him.

"I'm trying your present," Raven said without looking up from her book.

"Oh…It smells nice."

"You want to try it?"

He turned a deep red at the implication and doesn't move.  Raven reached between the pages of her book and handed him a piece of paper.

"It's my locker combo," she explained.  Every Titan had a locker in the linen closet next to the bathroom for personal items.

"Oh, thanks," Beastboy choked a little and then left, quickly.  He wonders for a moment why she had written it down beforehand, but brushes it off.

About a week later, Raven is in the tub again when Beastboy needs to pee and she lets him.

"Did you try the bath yet?" Raven inquires.

"I haven't had any time recently, no."

"Are you doing anything now?"

"No," he answers, confused.

Raven pauses in nervousness, "Try it now."

She blushes as she pulls her legs to her chest allowing him room on the other side of the tub.

"O-okay," Beastboy stutters.

He starts to take off his clothes but stops at his boxers.

She picks up her book and looks away until she feels the tub water rise around her.  He smiles nervously to her, but soon unwinds in the bath water.

They get out when the water turns cold.  Beastboy slips on his clothes and Raven puts on a long shirt with no pants that makes him ogle at her.

"This was really nice," Raven compliments, "I didn't think I would enjoy it with someone else."

After she gives him a small smile, he finally could not hold it in any longer and kisses her.  The second his lips leave hers, he starts to apologize.

"I'm sorry; I didn't mean to-"

Raven interrupts his speech with her own kiss.  Beastboy is left there stunned and she turns after giving him a wink and says, "Let's do this again."
